Top Tips
- Warm like chicken soup – further increases aroma and palatability for those super fussy eaters. Just make sure it’s not too hot – just below body temperature is recommended (36C)
- Freeze it – Oralade is freezable, with no effect on its quality and function for up to 12 months, reducing waste if less than a full bottle is required. Freezing Oralade into ice cubes makes a great treat to help maintain hydration in hot weather. Use a frozen Oralade stuffed toy for a zero calorie treat for pets on a restricted diet.

It’s designed to provide fast, effective hydration in harmony with the body’s natural requirements, whilst also including easily digestible prebiotic fibres and functional amino acids to provide vital gut support for your four-legged friend!
Containing zero fat and only 1% protein, Oralade GI+ requires no digestion, is easily absorbed, and is safe for use during all life stages.
Dextrose
Essentially the same as glucose provides simple energy. It is vital in oral rehydration solutions (ORS), when in the correct ratio with sodium, to activate the sodium-glucose cotransport system. This optimises sodium and water absorption for fast hydration. It also acts as an energy source for healthy intestinal cells and helps inhibit gastric secretions.
Electrolytes: (Na) Sodium, (K) Potassium (CL) Chloride
In the ideal ratio, along with dextrose, to ensure Oralade is isotonic. Supports normal hydration in dogs and cats, and helps restore electrolyte imbalances which have been caused by fluid loss.

1. PRE-HYDRATION: Maintain health and vitality and use for proactive hydration management and early intervention when increased fluid loss or decreased fluid intake is anticipated.
2. REHYDRATION: Correct fluid and electrolyte balance and use to maintain optimal hydration, even during periods of gastrointestinal disturbance.
3. MICROENTERAL GI SUPPORT: Support intestinal function and use with inappetent or anorexic patients to provide essential enterocyte nourishment, supporting GI function to help pave the way for voluntary enteral nutrition. The unique formulation contains amino acids and simple sugars to support enterocytes, and prebiotics to encourage a healthy gastrointestinal microbiome.
